Tentative Homecoming dates

This morning I went to sign my lease for my new apartment that I will be moving into on the 28th! Eeek this is so exciting. Unfortunately, I was not able to see the actual apartment I'll be getting because the tenants just moved out 2 days ago and they have started the upgrades on the kitchen so it was a construction zone. The good thing is that I will be the first to enjoy the new kitchen and all the new appliances. Anyways, after I drove down to base for the homecoming making banner party at our CP. When I got there our FRO had an announcement to make....HOMECOMING DATES WERE ANNOUNCED! I was so stoked to find out that the week I requested off work is the exact same week my husband will be returning home. Awesome! I cannot wait to move into our new apartment which we will call "HOME" and decorate so that it will feel like Home. I know I cannot count on these dates to be exact as flights get delayed, weather storms etc. Go figure huh....Semper Gumby! But these next following weeks are going to be busy and I couldn't be any happier.
Until next time ♥

Advon Homecoming

About a week ago I got an email from our FRO (Family Readiness Officer) who by the way I don't like every much. But anyways besides the point, she sent an email of ADVON's (Advanced party) return date and time. Unfortunately, even though my husband did go ADVON he does not get to come home ADVON. Semper Gumby! So my whole point of being excited for ADVON's return is because 3 of my husband's closest friends are coming home and they get to help me move into my new apartment on the 28th! Woo hoo for having some extra help and this also means that my husband's return is not too far away! This deployment has sure been crazy one of the craziest ones I have yet to experience. Thank goodness that it is almost over! Can't wait for April!
Until next time ♥

The Weekend

This weekend was a quite one. Unfortunately, on Saturday I had to work but it was only a half day so it wasn’t bad.
I work at a hotel right across the street from Disneyland so I get to see a lot of tourist and answer a lot of phone calls.
The only upside to working at the hotel is that when its slow hardly ever I get to work on my school work.
Anyways, once I got home (living at my parents house until my apartment is ready on March 28th) I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond with my mom.
We originally went to get a new shower head for her bathroom and I ended up requesting a scanner so I can go scanning all over the store for my wedding registry.
The wedding consultant told me it would take about maximum 3 hours to scan everything I wanted. It only took me about 45 minutes. I knew what I liked and what I didn’t. And I don’t scan things I know I am not going to use, so it was fairly quick. Plus I am also registered at Target and Kohl’s so it’s not like I needed to scan a whole lot and Bed, Bath and Beyond is a fairly expensive store too. After we visited Michael’s, I absolutely love Michael’s! I went to their wedding section of the store as I wanted to check out what pre-made wedding invitations they had (I’d figure if I buy them and put them together myself and use the coupons they send out in the Sunday newspaper for 40% off an original price items, I can save a lot of money and do it myself) I found 2 sets of black and white invitations. I am still deciding which ones to buy so I am going to hold off for a bit. After Michael’s we ordered food at a local Mexican restaurant and took it back home to eat.

In California, we have this thing called Daylight saving time. Where in the Fall we fall back an hour and in the Spring we spring forward an hour. Well it just so happened that this weekend was the weekend we had to spring forward. Not to mention that it throws my sleeping pattern off and I feel like I have less time in the day because we lost an hour. Every year when we spring forward I always look forward to Desert Camis! I really dislike the Green camis, and here in CA once we spring forward that means that the Monday that follows every Marine on base will be in Desert Camis and that just means that summer is around the corner!

Sunday, came and went. I did some homework, studied for a quiz and test I have this upcoming week. Sundays are suppose to be fun-days since it’s the last day of the weekend, unfortunately it’s not. It’s more like study Sundays until the semester is over. Womp Womp Womp. As the evening approached, I got everything done so I can enjoy Army Wives and Coming Home on Lifetime. Army Wives was a good episode it is still early in the season so not much is going on, but next week I’ll be sure to bring my tissues with me to the couch as the preview looked intense. As for Coming Home, I still have not decided if I like this show or not. I have mixed feelings about it. I feel like they are only concentrating on Army families located in Clarksville, TN. Nothing against the Army, as I love every military branch but they need some variety. I guess I’ll keep watching as it was only the 2nd episode and hopefully I’ll start to enjoy the show.

This week is going to be super busy. Mostly filled with school work but Thursday is St. Patricks day, so I am hoping to go to the bar with some friends so enjoy some St. Patrick’s day fun! Will any of you celebrate St. Patrick’s day?
Until next time ♥
