Tuesday was the day for ADVON to finally come home after 7 months of being deployed. Even though my husband was not advon himself I was still very excited for some wives whose husband's were coming home. The night before I baked cookies and brownies for Marines who would not have family there. I like doing small things to show recognition and so that they know someone is thinking of them. I handed them out and one Marine came up to me shortly after and told me "Thank you for the cookies mam, they were delicious" It made me super happy because it made that Marine's day.
The main reason why I was at Homecoming was to welcome home one of my husband's good friend's named Josh.
He is one amazing Marine and has always been there for us. He handed me this flag and certificate. Yup, tears came down my face but i felt so honored to have this done for me.

Hugging Josh was like hugging part of my Husband for 10 seconds. Can't wait until its MY day to see my wonderful amazing Husband
This weekend I will packing and getting ready to move on Monday to the new apartment to get everything ready for when the hubby comes home. The countdown has begun. Until next time ♥

Not so bitter any longer or for awhile
Feeling Bitter!
As I am sitting in my living room watching a movie on lifetime, commercials come and the new preview for Coming Home episode is aired. I am bitter because it shows another Army Homecoming! I love other military branches other than the Marines but seriously this show should be called Army: Coming Home! There has been nothing but Army Homecomings and 1-3 AF/Navy families featured. What happened to the Marines! There are other Homecomings happening around the U.S. and they are not all happening in Clarksville, TN. Come on Lifetime! My husband's battalion will be coming home in a few weeks and one of the families from the battalion applied for the show. Great...they were contacted by Lifetime and everything was set to go and they were going to be featured. Unfortunately, Lifetime needed permission from the Command....the Command said
'NO"! Really? Its homecoming its not like they are wanting to capture a classified brief. But whatever they must have their reasons right? So I can assure you that I will not be watching Coming Home after tonight if a Marine family is not featured.
